Press conference of the delegation of the United States
December 8

On India/ China taking cutting their emissions. And how much?
All countries need to contribute. It is recognised that the emerging economies also need to take action. US Congress has taken this position. But we are not talking about numbers now.

On adaptation fund
We are not generally engaged in discussions on adaptation fund.

US stance on REDDs
US is actively engaged in deforestation issue. REDD is very important to us and we are actively engaged in REDD discussions.

What to expect out of Poznan and Copenhagen
We are discussing the negotiation text to be taken to Copenhagen. Whether or not we will get some agreement in Copenhagen remains to be seen. It is difficult. But it is broad commitment of this administration to reach some agreement.
