As the trek continued, from one mountainous landscape to another, the same scenarios were encountered time and again. Beautiful steep landscapes, laden in a backdrop of snow covered peaks, interrupted by sparsely cultivated land farmed by local villagers. Clusters of villages existed hidden between the valleys and amidst the slopes which have been cut into field terraces for agricultural practices. The journey higher into the Himalayan mountains pleasantly took our breath away. Despite the fragments of nature that had been commercialized for visitors like us, it was the plain simplicity and content nature of the people who inhabited these mountains and their basic forms of sustenance, that brought about the motivation to create this web page.
